Zoom instructions for presenters and attendees
Zoom instructions for presenters and attendees
Instructions for presenters
- Use a headset with microphone for better sound quality.
- Make sure you are in a quite place and mute your phone.
- If you use multiple screens, make sure you share the right one.
- Send your presentation beforehand to the Zoom host for your session (host list will be distributed).
- Make yourself available during the break before your session for test of screen sharing and microphone.
- When you share your screen in Zoom, share only a single application window instead of your entire desktop, unless you are doing a demo that requires multiple windows. This keeps the other content on your screen private.
- Turn off your video if you don’t want it viewed during your presentation. If you have information in the top right of your screen that you want to be seen, turn off your video.
- Ignore raised hands and chat during the presentation, the chair will attend to those.
- You will receive instructions from the track chairs regarding timing for presentation and Q&A.
Instructions for attendees
- Use a headset with microphone for better sound quality.
- Change the Zoom View Options if the video tiles are overlapping the presenter's screen: you can set it to "side by side" or turn the video panel off.
- If you have a question, raise your hand in Zoom. The chair will call on you and unmute you to ask your question. Alternatively, type it into the Zoom chat (“to everyone”). The host will notice your question and read it to the presenter.
- If anyone from Declarative AI wants to stay on for DecisionCAMP, they need to join Slack as DecisionCAMP doesn’t use Zoom’s chat for questions (more info will be given before the session).
